How To Go About Creating Your Own Unique Raffle Tickets

When it comes to funding raising events, selling of raffle tickets proves extremely popular.  If you are going to be holding such an event in the near future, of course, organising a raffle is crucial.   As for the tickets you have a choice, you either purchase ones that have already been printed or you create your own to get printed for you.

If you have the time then, of course, designing your own raffle tickets and arranging for raffle ticket printing services to produce them for you is a really good idea.  Not only can you create something that is unique to your particular event but is more likely to have people more willing to purchase them.

So How To Design Your Events Raffle Tickets

The first thing you need to realise isn’t that you don’t need to have any special skills to design your own personalised raffle tickets.  These days there are plenty of online tools you can use to help you create what you want.   However, there are certain things that you need to know in order to ensure that you create something truly unique and wonderful.

Below are some pointers that will help you when it comes to designing such tickets that you can then arrange for your local raffle ticket printers to produce for you.

  1. Size

What information you want to be included on your tickets will, of course, influence the size of the tickets you get printed.   Generally, most raffle tickets will be one of the following sizes.

  • Raffle Tickets With Stubs – Measure 5.63” x 1.97”. They come with a stub that is detachable and this tends to measure 1.875”.
  • Stub Less Tickets – These tend to measure 5.5” x 2.125”. This is the most common size that most raffle ticket printing companies are able to produce.

Choose the stub less variety if you intend to sell your tickets before the event takes place, whilst you sell the usual smaller variety ones with stubs when the event is happening.

  1. Landscape Or Portrait

When you start to get the information together that you want to appear on your personalised raffle tickets you can then decide whether they should be in landscape or portrait form.   Here are a few things to consider that will help you decide whether yours are landscape or portrait.

  • If you aren’t including a lot of information on the tickets opt for portrait style ones.
  • If you intend to include a lot of information on them that takes up between 5-10 lines then you should decide yours in landscape
  • Are you considering adding a logo or image to them along with the information that you want to show people what the raffle is about, this will also determine if the raffle tickets get printed in landscape or portrait format

  1. What Text Should You Include

What you say on your tickets is just as important as how they look, they need to really cause an impact when viewed and the points below should help you.

  • Make the most important information on the tickets the most visible. So place the event name and the purpose of it in a large font and somewhere it can easily be seen on the raffle tickets.
  • It is a good idea to use a font style and colour that provides a contrast between the background of the ticket and the text.
  • Leave some empty space on the ticket as this will help to add balance to it and also makes them look more attractive
  • Don’t forget to leave some space for information, especially if you are designing tickets that you would like people to write their contact information on to them for you.

Hopefully with the information that we’ve provided above when it comes to creating your own personalised raffle tickets you will find the whole process a lot easier.   Plus the whole process of getting your raffle ticket printing finished in a timely manner will prove a lot easier as well.
